Michael R. Kain serves as the CEO of Kain & Associates.  Initially drawn to the location and history of Dupont Circle, he opened his commercial real estate office in 1978 and has been there ever since.  Through his business efforts, partnerships with community leaders, and his trusted leadership of various neighborhood initiatives, he has helped to shepherd Dupont Circle through many improvements for four decades.  He remains devoted to improving the neighborhood while preserving its treasures to create the best vibrant, walkable community for Dupont Circle businesses, offices and residents.

Michael received a B.S. from the US Naval Academy in 1970 and a J.D. from the Golden Gate School of Law.  He earned a LLM in Taxation from Georgetown Law in 1978 and was granted an honorary Doctorate from Golden Gate School of Law in 2012.  He devoted many years to the Washington Metropolitan YMCA as a Board member and eventually as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Michael resides in Dupont Circle with his wife, Marlana.

Patrick M. Kain serves as President for Kain & Associates. Previously, he worked with KLNB Retail in Washington DC and Cushman & Wakefield in Midtown Manhattan. A native Washingtonian, Patrick has an understanding of the local market and business trends that allows him to make strategic and effective real estate decisions.

Patrick received a B.S. in Economics from Trinity College in 2011 and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2017. He volunteers with many neighborhood organizations on Dupont Circle including the Dupont Circle Business Improvement District. Patrick resides on Dupont Circle with his family.

   

Rick serves as Property Manager for Kain & Associates. He has been with the company since 2009.

With high integrity and professionalism, Rick manages a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including office buildings and retail spaces.

When Rick is not managing properties, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing chess, and watching football games.

Ryan serves as Engineer at Kain & Associates. He is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all mechanical systems within the portfolio. He works to satisfy the daily, and long term needs of our tenants. Ryan enjoys gardening and spending time with his family on their mini homestead.

Linda C. Watts has served as the internal accountant for Kain & Associates since 2013. As A native Washingtonian, Linda has worked with several companies throughout the Metropolitan region.

Linda attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree and has her Masters from the University of Maryland. She enjoys sports, gardening, and travel.
